Croute Au Morbier
Crouton with Morbier Cheese
A slice of country bread soaked with Jura white wine is covered with a slice of Morbier cheese, then put in an oven until the cheese is melted. It is served with a salad.
Croute Au Morbier and Wine
The richness of the melted Morbier cheese often calls for a rather light and neutral white. While Jura wines are renowned for their strong character, a Côtes du Jura Chardonnay or even an Etoile, in a relatively light style without aging in oak, will do nicely.
