Mouthe
This village of about 900 inhabitants is the finish line of the famous Transjurassienne, an international cross-country ski race. It is the home of Fabrice Guy, olympic champion in nordic ski.
Altitude: 935 to 1,420 m
Downhill skiing: 3 slopes (1 green, 1 blue and 1 red) and 3 ski lifts
Cross-country skiing: 65 km groomed track and skating trails for all ski levels, 1 lighted trail for night time skiing

Chapelle des Bois
Located in the north of the Haut Jura Regional Natural Park and along the Swiss border, this village of Haut-Doubs is in the heart of the largest cross-country skiing massif in Western Europe. Its location at the foot of the Risoux forest ensures a remarkable amount of snow. It is the departure point for the Mini-trans, a 25 km cross-country ski race preceding the Transjurassienne.
Its 240 inhabitants have kept the authenticity of their village, to witness:
- the museum "Maison Michaud", a typical 17th Century farm, with the large chimney called "tuyé" where the meat used to be smoked. Organic bread is made and sold there.
- a distillery of gentian flowers
- a cheese making factory of morbier cheese and goat cheese.

Cross-country skiing: 110 km groomed track and skating trails for all ski levels, offer a network of 14 itineraries. This network connects with the other villages nearby.
Dogsledding: a 7 km trail. The center "Equipages Adam's" offers introduction to sled driving, sled rides and 2 to 5 days raids.
Snowshoeing: 5 trails available for all levels and 2 itineraries for pedestrians
Other activities: Ice-skating on lakes (Lac des Mortes is 3 km away), when weather permits. Demonstration and initiation of ski-joring (skiing pulled by a horse). |

Chaux-Neuve
Located between Mouthe and Chapelle-des-Bois, the village of about 220 inhabitants has an important ski jump stadium hosting every year some worldwide sporting events.
Altitude: 1,091 m
Downhill skiing: 2 slopes (1 red, 1 baby for beginner) and 2 ski lifts
Cross-country skiing: 68 km groomed track and skating trails for all ski levels
Ski jumping: a stadium with 3 ski jumps (90, 57 and 28 m)
Dogsledding: L'Odyssée Blanche, a center specialising in sled dogs, offers introduction to dogsledding and sled rides
Snowshoeing: 3 and 5 km trails
