Etang des Forges

Located at the doorstep of the city of Belfort, this lake provides many water activities. A nature trail leads round this lake where posted information boards explain about the flora and fauna to be found in this area. |

Tour de la Miotte
This tower has been rebuilt several times and then integrated to the Fort de la Miotte built in 1830. At the foot of the tower, the view extends to the Etang des Forges, the city and the Vosges Mountains. |

The Malsaucy
Located only 10 km (6 miles) from the city of Belfort, it is one of the most beautiful natural settings of the Southern Vosges Mountains. It provides all kinds of water activities such as windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, rowing, swimming and fishing.
Along with the water sports, the "Maison de l'Environnement" (Environmental Center) offers a complete program for nature discovery (exhibitions, shows, seminars...). |

Notre Dame du Haut Chapel

Set on a hill above the town of Ronchamp, 20 km (12 miles) from the city of Belfort. The chapel, designed by the architect Le Corbusier in 1955, is one of the most important works of contemporary religious architecture. Its pure shape and curved roof can be seen from miles away. |

Mining Museum
Located in the town of Giromagny, 12 km (8 miles) from Belfort. Giromagny was at the heart of a vast array of mines concentrated over the entire area of the lower Vosges Mountains, and were mined for a variety of metal ores. The museum retraces this mining history from the 15th to the 19th Century.

Ballon d'Alsace
The highest summit in the southern part of the Vosges Mountains (altitude 1,247 m) is at the crossroads of the three regions of Lorraine, Franche-Comte and Alsace. It is the ideal departure point for hiking in the natural regional park called "Parc naturel régional des Ballons des Vosges". In winter, this site becomes a ski resort. |
Fort Salbert
8 km (5 miles) from the city center, at an altitude of 651 m, it is one of the highest of many forts in "Randonnée des forts", an 82 km (50 miles) road.
It offers a marvellous panorama over Belfort, the Swiss Alps and the surrounding mountains. |

- "Eurockéennes de Belfort". Every year, around 80,000 young people from all over Europe come here for this biggest outdoor French rock music festival at nearby Malsaucy Lake area.
- "Festival International de Musique Universitaire". Jazz, rock and classical musicians meet here in May to perform 80 concerts all over the old town, during a long festival weekend.
- "Entrevues". Belfort's annual film festival.
- "Mercredis du Chateau", free concerts performed in Belfort castle on Wednesdays, from July to August.
- "Nuits d'Ete", Cabaret theater at the Castle, from mid-June to mid-July.
- Water activities: Fishing, Windsurfing, Sailing, Rowing, Swimming, Canoeing and more... at Malsaucy and Les Forges lakes.
- Aerial Sports: Flying, Gliding, Parachuting, Hot air Ballooning.
